It’s our anniversary!
We are celebrating the “more than” in our 50 years together …
More laughter than tears
More joy than anguish
More forgiveness than hostilities
More unity than disunity
More togetherness than self-centeredness
More grace than judgment
More playfulness than gravity —
I can count on him for sweet hugs,
Gentle kisses, consistent prayer, and
A loving connection that knows me at my worst.
He’s my sparring partner (you know, with words!),
Resident theologian, travel buddy,
And comedian. He makes me laugh every day!
I loved him then and love him now …
