Five Promises from Isaiah
Introducing this week's series
The book of Isaiah is sometimes called “the fifth Gospel.” Written centuries before Jesus was born, Isaiah points us again and again to God’s salvation, comfort, and hope. His words spoke life into weary exiles long ago, and they still breathe life into us today.
Buried in Isaiah’s 66 chapters are promises we can cling to when life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or even barren. Promises of peace, strength, presence, fruitfulness, and victory. Promises that anchor us when everything else feels unsteady.
I don’t know what season you’re stepping into right now. Maybe it’s a season of new beginnings, a school year starting, a job shift, a fresh chapter unfolding. Perhaps it’s a season of questions or even heartache.
Wherever you find yourself, God’s promises are steady and sure.
Over the next few posts, we’ll look at five promises from Isaiah worth holding close:
The Promise of His Peace when your mind feels restless.
The Promise of Renewed Strength when you’re too weak to keep going.
The Promise of His Almighty Presence when the unknown feels overwhelming.
The Promise of Fruitfulness when the desert feels endless.
The Promise of Victory when the enemy whispers lies and accusations.
These promises aren’t just ancient poetry. They’re living words, offered by the God who never changes. My prayer is that as we walk through them together, you’ll be reminded of His faithfulness and encouraged to trust Him more deeply.
So, take a breath. Open your heart. Let Isaiah’s promises meet you where you are.
Breath Prayer for the Series:
Inhale: Lord, I receive Your promises.
Exhale: Help me to walk in them.
